Getting Ready and Casting Off

Well the last two+ months have been full of me running around trying to figure out how to install new items - there are some bribery involved in getting certain people to help me (Stereo, solar panel, traveler, lights, electric bilge pump), rebuilding items (bilge pump - which actually ended up being a install of a new one and the port window), hauling out the boat and painting her, and then the change over from home and day sailer to long term cruiser. Still working on the strip down and replacing everything it is appropriate place - ok and still working on that. Trying to decide what to take and what to leave behind is alot more changing that I thought it would be. Luckily I have the next two days off of work so that I can finish putting the boat in order take off as planned on Saturday. Friday night is my cast off party - Which I know will be great but I was just checking the tides. The big out going tide is a 1am on Saturday...don't think I am going to make that. So a nice leisurely cast off later in the day or at least I am hoping it will be leisurely. First stop Port Townsend.
